The events and seminars held on December 15, 2023, within the scope of the 63rd Founding Anniversary of Ankara University Faculty of Pharmacy, offered participants an important information-sharing and awareness-raising platform on anti-doping. Turkish Anti-Doping Commission General Director Prof. Dr. Rüştü Güner organized a seminar titled “The Role of the Pharmacist in the Anti-Doping” at this event.

Prof. Dr. Rüştü Güner’s presentation included important information emphasizing the role and responsibilities of the pharmacist in anti-doping. The General Director of the Commission stated that pharmacists play a key role in preventing access to banned substances in pharmacies and their use for doping purposes. He emphasized that it is of great importance to raise the awareness of pharmacists in order to prevent access to these substances for doping purposes. It was also discussed at the seminar that pharmacists should be trained, raise awareness, and take an active role in anti-doping.
