The first training of the Anti-Doping Education Program for Sports Physicians, which was planned for 2 hours once a month between March and December 2023, was held on March 8, 2023, between 20:00 and 22:00. Turkish Anti-Doping Commission General Director Prof. Dr. Rüştü Güner gave information on the history of the anti-doping in the world and Turkey to 61 participants.

The Anti-Doping Education Program for Sports Physicians organized jointly by the Turkish Anti-Doping Commission, Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Sports Medicine, Ankara University Addiction and Anti-Doping Application and Research Center, and the Turkish Sports Physicians Association is planned to last 9 months, the first part is February-June with the second part between September and December 2023.

Within the scope of the Education Program, in addition to general information on the anti- doping, it is aimed to prevent the prescription of drugs containing prohibited substances, to protect the health of the athletes and to prevent the use of prohibited substances and prohibited methods by the athletes, by sharing information about the issues that should be taken into account in the treatment of certain diseases.
