The online training program for the Candidate Doping Control Officers was completed on May 14-15 and May 21-22, 2022 with the participation of 38 Candidate Doping Control Officers.
Within the scope of the training program planned and conducted by the Turkish Anti-Doping Commission training team, theoretical and practical information about the doping control process was given to the participants. Turkish Anti-Doping Commission’s General Director Prof. Dr. Rüştü Güner moderated the online training and also presented the “Anti-Doping Overview” and held the “Live Display of Doping Control Materials for Urine and Blood Samples” session. Within the scope of the training program, Hazar Gürel, who is the Doping Control Operations Coordinator and also from the training team of the Turkish Anti-Doping Commission, presented the topic “Sample Collector Team”. Planning Officer Büşra Şeker Kılınç gave the first presentation of the topic “Preparation for Doping Control Duty”. Murat Gündüz, Monitoring and Development Officer of Doping Control Missions, explained the second stages of “Preparation for Doping Control Missions”, “Conducting the Sample Collection Session”, “Conducting the Blood Collection Session” and the “Post Sample Collection Session”. Doping Control Officer Dr. Umutcan Kayıkçı presented “Athlete Selection Implementation, Sport-Specific Athlete Selection, Competition Rules” and “Athlete Notification” to Candidate Doping Control Officers. Hamza Uyar, Monitoring and Development Officer of Doping Control Tasks, conducted the “Preparation for Out-of-Competition Doping Control”, “Conducting the Sample Collection Session” as well as the Practical Session of Filling Doping Control Forms with Murat Gündüz. Risk Assessment Coordinator Selin Tekin Ayan made a presentation on “Information Collection and Documentation”. Atty. İpek Okyar presented “Information Security and Confidentiality in Doping Control Missions” topic and at the last stage of the training program, Deputy General Director of Turkish Anti-Doping Commission, Atty. Mehmet Yoğurtcuoğlu, presented “Possible Non-Compliance in Doping Controls” and “Ethics in Doping Control Missions”. The theoretical phase of the intensive training program, which lasted 1 day, was completed.
The practical phase of the training program will be held on May 28, 2022 with the participation of experienced Doping Control Officers.
