The Ad Hoc European Committee for the World Anti-Doping Agency (CAHAMA) held its 63rd meeting in Strasbourg on 5 and 6 March. The 58th Monitoring Group of the Anti-Doping Convention (T-DO) meeting was held on 6 and 7 March 2024. The Turkish Anti-Doping Commission Deputy General Director Atty. Mehmet Yoğurtcuoğlu and Anti-Doping Compliance Specialist Atty. Irmak Başkesik attended to both meetings.
At the CAHAMA meeting, more than 90 anti-doping experts from the member states of the Council of Europe exchanged views with WADA officials regarding the agenda of the Board of Directors meeting of the World Anti-Doping Agency to be held in the coming days, and an agreement was reached on the European position to be expressed at this meeting. In the election held, Chair and Vice Chair of CAHAMA were elected to serve for one year.
At the T-DO Meeting, discussions were held about the activities of the Monitoring Group and the evaluation visits carried out. Decisions were taken regarding the Evaluation Reports prepared by the Compliance Advisory Group. In addition, opinions were shared by experts on the rights of minors in the anti-doping system.
